Project Summary

The Oak Park High School renovation was a $1 million modular school building project that transformed an aging facility into a modern quality and sustainable educational building. Seven permanent modular classroom buildings were constructed with net-zero energy usage and made from repurposed single-use shipping containers. Crate currently has two more projects in fabrication for the campus and two more that will be in design in 2019.

Project Features

  • Oak Park High School is the first district in California to install net-zero energy classrooms on its campuses.
  • The modular classrooms were built in 60 days saving an incredible 115 tons of landfill waste by using 85% reclaimed material.
