Hilda L. Solis Care First Village
Project Summary
The Care First Village property was originally designated as a jail, but LA County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis’ office had the idea to change the use from a former jail site to homelessness services. Designed as two 3-story buildings with a total of 132 units of interim housing for homelessness. Each unit is 160 square feet with a full bathroom, millwork and HVAC. This groundbreaking project was created to support the County’s most vulnerable population during the COVID-19 pandemic and is part of a homelessness services campus.
